Has anybody had any experience in transferring photos from a disk to a phone to be used as a background wallpaper? And what kind of phone would you need to be able to do this? I have a lot of photographs on disk and would love to use them on my phone, but am pretty sure that my current phone won't allow me to do this. I am thinking of getting a new phone and would love to get my own piccies on the background.

Honestly not tried this - just in the process of setting up my bluetooth phone to the PC for downloading photos, if possible.

I experienced transferring pictures from CD to my phone, im using the unit of Sony Ericsson K610i, you can use other phone that has a USB capability and able to download files from computer.
May i mind to ask what unit are you using right now?

If you are planning to buy a new phone with this feature, I could suggest any phone from Ericsson. Cos based on my experiences, there is some difficulty in transferring files from computer to a Nokia phone.

Depending on what your phone supports, I use to email them to my cell phone number and then save the picture and use it later for what I wanted it for.

I've never thought of trying this either, but definitely upload to your computer and if you are able to send it to your phone via email or aim, then that should be the simplest way to do it.
